Have Knee Pains? Book A Physical Therapy Session

In many cases, knee pain can be a sign of a larger problem, such as a weak or shortened body. It can also be an indicator of poor posture or limited range of motion. In either case, early physical therapy can help prevent surgery and improve the quality of life. A therapist can also help patients learn about ergonomics and other techniques that will increase energy efficiency or reduce the risk of injury. The objective of physical therapy is to help the patient get back to their normal, active lifestyle as quickly as possible.

Physical therapy for knee pain begins by determining the cause of the problem. The therapist will measure your strength, flexibility, and balance, and may also conduct special tests to determine the specific cause of your knee pain. Depending on the severity of your problem, a physical therapist will create a treatment plan tailored to your needs and goals. A physical therapist will assess the extent of your injury and help you make the best decision for your recovery.

Dr. Solomon Normatov

As a lifelong athlete, I’ve experienced a wide array of sports-related injuries.  In fact, my interest in this profession was sparked at just eighteen years-old, when I received physical therapy for a shoulder injury incurred while playing football.  Later, I achieved my Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of the Sciences of Philadelphia.

I employ a holistic, evidence-based approach to my treatment, taking a full assessment of your status and needs to design the perfect plan for your body and circumstances.  I use research-driven methods to help you achieve your physical therapy goals.  I am detail-oriented, innovative, highly knowledgeable in biomechanics, and a fantastic problem-solver.  I operate on three principles: honesty, perseverance, and resilience.

The most rewarding part of my job is helping others reclaim their health and wellness.  I love to use my experience and background to support and guide my patients as they commit to their recovery.  And I can’t wait to facilitate this journey for you, bestowing upon you the right exercises and information to carry you to success!

No Insurance? No Problem. We Offer Self Pay Physical Therapy

Your therapist will develop a customized treatment plan that focuses on the cause of your knee pain. The physical therapist may recommend a pair of crutches to ease your pain, or they may ask you to use a walker. They will also discuss ways to strengthen and rebuild movement. Once the physical therapist has determined the source of your injury, they will prescribe a physical therapy program to help you regain mobility and strength.

Depending on the cause of your knee pain, physical therapy can be an excellent choice for you. It may be necessary to attend several sessions a week for six weeks or more. You may be required to continue therapy depending on the severity of your pain. You may also be asked to do home exercises as part of the program. While physical therapy for knee pain is not a painful procedure, you may experience some soreness and swelling after completing the program. Book your appointment today!
