Physical Therapy Will Help Your Recover After Hip Joint Replacement

If you have decided to get a hip joint replacement you must strongly consider physical therapy after your surgery. Your surgeon may have already recommend or referred your to being physical therapy right away. Physical therapy is extremely beneficial and will help you get back to doing the things you need as soon as possible. You have most likely already started home physical therapy. Your therapist should be showing things like getting up and out of beg, getting up from a chair, transfers, walking with a supportive device, and exercises that help reduce your swelling.

Depending on the type of surgery, you may also be given a certain set of precautions or “rules” to follow to make sure you don’t injure your hip joint. You will also be given a set of exercises to do at home. Your physical therapist will then review these exercises with you to make sure that you’re doing them properly. You will also be guided on routine dressing changes and wound care.

Dr. Solomon Normatov

As a lifelong athlete, I’ve experienced a wide array of sports-related injuries.  In fact, my interest in this profession was sparked at just eighteen years-old, when I received physical therapy for a shoulder injury incurred while playing football.  Later, I achieved my Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of the Sciences of Philadelphia.

I employ a holistic, evidence-based approach to my treatment, taking a full assessment of your status and needs to design the perfect plan for your body and circumstances.  I use research-driven methods to help you achieve your physical therapy goals.  I am detail-oriented, innovative, highly knowledgeable in biomechanics, and a fantastic problem-solver.  I operate on three principles: honesty, perseverance, and resilience.

The most rewarding part of my job is helping others reclaim their health and wellness.  I love to use my experience and background to support and guide my patients as they commit to their recovery.  And I can’t wait to facilitate this journey for you, bestowing upon you the right exercises and information to carry you to success!

Recover Faster With Physical Therapy

We have one of the most popular treatment centers in the heart of Delray Beach. We provide hip joint replacement physical therapy in Delray Beach, Florida. Physical therapy helps you in reducing pain and also helps you strengthen your muscles and achieve normal movement. We often notice that patients who properly follow the advice of the physiotherapist make comparatively better recovery.

Your physical therapist will most likely  be in contact with your surgeon to make sure you’re getting the best care. Often, you will need to go into the physical therapist’s office for at least a four weeks to help with your recovery. This is because your recovery from this injury is not immediate, and you may require more treatment. You will be given exercises that will reduce your dependency on the supporting devices and help you gain strength and flexibility. After your doctors and physiotherapist become confident about you gaining full recovery, you will be free to continue with normal work and heavy exercises.  Book your appointment today
